Regional Discernment Retreat (Minneapolis Area)

Young Adults & Students


FTE’s Regional Discernment Retreat gathers a diverse group of young adults with Christian leaders who are making an impact in their communities. This event will offer an opportunity for young adults to explore deep questions about their purpose and passion. Attendees will participate in conversations with peers and leaders and will explore innovative models of ministry. Young adults ages 18-30 within the region will attend the event and are nominated on the following criteria:

  • Interested in making a difference in the world;
  • Thoughtful, curious and open to learning;
  • Interested in pursuing a life of service;
  • Inspiring others to action; or
  • Interested in leadership and guided by their faith.

Nominees should currently reside within 250 miles of the Regional Discernement Retreat location and should not have attended a previous FTE discernment retreat. As a nominator, we ask that you speak with nominees about the retreat prior to nominating them. Click here to learn more about FTE’s Discernment Retreats. 2017 Christian Leadership Forum (Young Adult Cohort)

FTE hosts the national Christian Leadership Forum each summer for diverse young adults, students, scholars and church leaders to explore vocational questions about ministry and teaching, exchange ideas and connect with a community of peers. Along with leaders from a cross-section of FTE partner organizations, eighty (80) diverse young adults will have opportunities to network, engage in practices of vocational discernment, build their capacity for practical ministry and explore pastoral leadership.
