Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your own weakness.Mother Theresa
When congregations and church-related organizations work together to “notice, name and nurture” young adults with gifts for ministry, they create capable, inspired Christian leaders. It is from this place that vitality is established for the church and its future. FTE partners with congregations and church-bodies to support these young leaders as they serve the common good, strive for justice, share the Gospel and explore what God is calling them to do and be in the world.
Congregations Working with Young Adult Volunteers FTE works with congregations and church-bodies to reach out to young adult volunteers of non-faith-based organizations to be present and relevant to young people interested in making a difference in the world through service. Congregational partners offer affordable housing, invite young adult volunteers to join an intentional community of peers and provide intentional theological exploration of vocation.
Intentional Communities on College Campuses
FTE works with leaders in colleges and universities to provide vocational programming to young adults living in intentional communities. These leaders gather annually to build a community, share what they have learned, address common problems and exchange ideas.
Since 2007, more than 75 congregations and church-related organizations have received grants and developed pastoral leadership and vocational discernment opportunities for the next generation of leaders of the church. FTE offers grants to develop pastoral internships, vocational resources, and mentoring and recruitment programs for young adults exploring their purpose and call.
