The program is open to U.S. doctoral candidates and scholars who have already earned their Ph.D. in fields of the humanities, social sciences, or allied natural sciences and with to conduct research of regional or trans-regional significance. The Advanced Multi-Country Research Fellowships will support advanced regional research in the fields of the humanities, social sciences, or allied natural sciences. Research must have regional significance and must be carried out in more than one country. At least one of the following countries must be included: Bangladesh, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Indian, Israel, Italy, Jordon, Morocco, Pakistan, Senegal/West Africa, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Turkey, or Yemen. Postdoctoral researchers and Ph.D. candidates who are citizens are eligible to apply.
