Christian community is the place where we keep the flame of hope alive among us and take it seriously so that it can grow and become stronger in us.Henri J. M. Nouwen
Across North America, many young adults are choosing to live in an intentional Christian community as a commitment to their faith. Through FTE’s work with intentional Christian communities serving college students, FTE has seen these communities nurture and cultivate vocational discernment and ministry exploration in young adults.
The Intentional Christian Community (ICC) network includes leaders from US and Canadian intentional communities who are committed to accompanying young adults in the exploration of their purpose, passion and call. With theological roots in early Christian movements, intentional Christian communities provide young adults covenantal spaces where they practice Christian disciplines that deepen their sense of faith identity. Through leaders’ participation in the ICC network, they have opportunities to exchange challenges, ideas and resources with a community of practice and connect with FTE’s diverse networks of partner organizations.
