Today The Fund for Theological Education (FTE) announced that it has changed its name to Forum for Theological Exploration (FTE). The name change retains the acronym “FTE,” builds on the organization’s legacy and reflects the evolution of its work. In addition to its name change, FTE also launched a new website at fteleaders.org.

The Fund for Theological Education (FTE) has announced the election of the Rev. Dr. Wendy Fletcher to Board chair and the appointment of two new trustees. Elected by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), Mr. Mark Constantine and Mr. Franks Sims joined the FTE Board of Trustees effective January 1, 2013.

A diverse cross-section of college and seminary students from 40 U.S. states and Canada convene to explore vocation through the stories of community leaders who revived New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. They gather at the 2011 Fund for Theological Education (FTE) Leaders in Ministry Conference, “In Service to the Common Good.” FTE is an ecumenical organization; it provides fellowships and leadership development for young people exploring a call to ministry.
