When people ask why he was called to this work, David Hooker has a clear and poignant answer, “for our children and our children’s children.” David was 10 years old when he decided to leave his mother’s church after realizing, at that impressionable age, that there was no voice for a child there. As a Reverend at First Congregational Church UCC, he constantly keeps in mind how important it is to engage youth at an early age.
