Dr. Dwight Hopkins was brought up in the belief that education, community, and church all should be for service. Fueled by the awareness that he is called by God “to train young minds theologically, to serve the church through education and also to continue my work globally,” he entered seminary in 1981, and became a Doctoral Fellow in 1984. Today, Dwight teaches his students that leaders must, “stand in the gap for those in the margins of our society.”
“ “For me, vocation is the ongoing narrative of the human quest to be receptive to what God is calling us to do in the contemporary moment.” ”
