Elissa first felt her calling when she was a little girl, sitting in a pew at Old South Church in Boston. She was watching Reverend Liz Myer Bolton preach, and was struck by the simplicity of her sermon. As she was hearing stories about women finding strength in God’s voice, He came down to her, in that pew, and whispered, “You are my beloved. You can do this work. You can be my voice, whispering for all the world to hear.” It was out of that simple message that she found her strength and her calling.
“ “I had never seen the heavens open before.” ”
