Through her journey at divinity school and her time working as the SNAP outreach coordinator at Community Food Advocates, Jennifer’s call to ministry has been clearly defined. “I really see my call as having one foot in the church and one foot in the world…” She understands pastoral care to be more than what happens in a pastor’s office and desires to be there for people in the places where they need you most—in their communities. Jennifer believes it would have been rather difficult to pursue a Master of Divinity without being rooted in her community and she cannot imagine doing her work in the community without the support and spiritual guidance of her academic program. That vision of ministry is what has driven her focus of study at divinity school and inspired her actions within the community.
