Leaders in Ministry Spotlight on Christina Repoley

For Christina Repoley, the question was not whether she would live a life committed to working for peace and justice. It was, rather, whether or not she would pursue that calling through the boundaries of ministry. Growing up Quaker, Christina saw examples of others living in an active community of faith. She attended seminary and moved into her profession as the head of Quaker Voluntary Service so that she could live and work for peace and justice in a deeply connected, faithful community. She strives to show the ways that God works through us to create change, transformation and newness, and that there is sustainability, joy and hope in that awareness of God in our lives.

“For me, it wasn’t a choice between a life committed to peace and justice or not… it was a choice between a life committed to peace and justice, and a life committed to peace and justice through a faithful community.”
