Forum for Theological Exploration (FTE) Elects Soon Mee Kim to its Board of Trustees

ATLANTA (February 6, 2020) — Forum for Theological Exploration (FTE) is pleased to announce the election of Soon Mee Kim to its Board of Trustees.

Soon Mee Kim is executive vice president of global diversity and inclusion leader at Porter Novelli, a global public relations and communications firm that believes organizations must find, live and tell their purpose in order to thrive. In her role, Ms. Kim is responsible for implementing policies, programs and practices that foster diversity, equity and inclusion. Her work also includes cultivating receptive mindsets that create a culture where everyone is valued.

FTE’s Board of Trustees govern and advance the organization’s mission to cultivate diverse young adults to be faithful, wise and courageous leaders for the church and academy. Elected by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), trustees serve a three-year term that can be renewed for a second term.

“Soon Mee joins a longstanding community of faithful leaders committed to furthering FTE’s work on purpose, call and vocation,” said FTE President Stephen Lewis. “Her background and keen insights will complement and strengthen the Board’s capacity to guide the organization as it embarks on a new strategic direction.”

With a passion for innovation and impact, Ms. Kim specializes in uncovering and articulating the reasons why people should care about complex issues, systems and technologies. Formally and informally, her favorite roles are that of mentor, coach and student.
