Forum for Theological Exploration (FTE) Welcomes Dr. Brandon Harris as Director of Partnerships and Business Development

Former Georgetown Chaplain Joins FTE Staff to Develop New Partnerships

[ATLANTA, Georgia] (FEBRUARY 19, 2025) – The Forum for Theological Exploration (FTE) is proud to announce Reverend Dr. Brandon Harris as its new Director of Partnerships and Business Development. Dr. Harris brings extensive experience in congregational and campus ministries, higher education, and social justice to this key role.

Dr. Harris has held several prominent positions, including Protestant Chaplain at Georgetown University, where he taught courses on African American religious thought and leadership, and was co-chair of the Martin Luther King Jr. Initiative. He also served as the youngest Senior Minister in the history of Peoples Congregational Church in Washington D.C. and most recently as Associate Dean for Religious & Spiritual Life at the University of Southern California.

A passionate advocate for interfaith engagement and racial justice, Dr. Harris was ordained at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Divinity from Emory University, and a Doctor of Ministry from New York Theological Seminary, focusing on the impact of gentrification on Black churches.

As Director of Partnerships and Business Development, Dr. Harris will help build and strengthen FTE’s strategic partnerships as well as create opportunities for partners to leverage FTE’s resources to support young leaders’ exploring vocations inministry.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Harris to FTE,” said Stephen Lewis, FTE President. “His experiences, relationships and commitment to faith and racial equity align perfectly with our mission.”
